Drawing Santa in August

I've been telling this story for awhile now and thought it might be good as a comic. So enjoy, and try to think of this whenever things aren't going your way.

p.s. sorry to anybody who took a long look at that second to last panel.

This is a true story: "The Death of Superman"

So this actually happened to me a few years ago. At the time I thought I would make an animation of the situation but I thought I would try making it into a comic instead. So I made it into a comic, end of story.

Gertrude Galapagos and the continuing search for the Holey Sock

Here is the latest Gertrude Galapagos illustration! As you can see she running through a pyramid in Egypt looking for clues to find the mystical Holey Sock! These are loosely based on bedtime stories my mother told me where I was Indiana Jones and I was looking for the Holey Sock. It was great, each night was a new story, the only difference is that Gertrude doesn't have a hat and that I'm not a girl.

So the main plan with these is to start up a kids book, if you got any ideas let me know. The next one will most likely be her on the Amazon, or somewhere in the jungle.

Here some earlier ones that I have done in case you haven't seen them.

Here's Gertrude with her dog Howard scuba-diving, searching for clues,

and here she's actually finding the Holey Sock (this was the first illustration that I had done, so far the rest have been prequels).

Uncle Alex just got kitties!

So after having Danger and Destruction for while Ashley and I had a BBQ and had my family come over. My nephew Will was very interested in my WII while my nephew Chad was more interested in the cats. At one point he had them cornered, crawling slowly at them saying "I'm going to get the kitty, I'm going to get the kitty." We all thought it was funny so I decided to do the above illustration from the cats perspective.

By the way my nephew is better looking then this kid, just for the record.

the sophmore post

I've started this illustration as a break from my new "Gertrude Galapagos" illustration (you'll see it eventually). I'm not finished yet but here is a teaser for you.

Its going to be about the first time my nephew met my cats Danger and Destruction and chased them around. A while ago I decided I needed more family friendly illustrations so this is one of them.

Along with that, here is an extreme rough draft of a scene from my new animation which as of now is called the "adventure cartoon." Hopefully it will be finished for the next Cormack Cook Colossal Cinema Collection which will be at the end of January. More on that later, but for now check it out and enjoy the music i bummed off the "Night of the Living Dead" soundtrack to make it more enjoyable

Oh man whats gonna happen next?

Welcome to the show

So on the advice of a friend of mine I'm starting a blog. Here you'll see my finished works (illustrations, animations, comics, and probably more) along with the behind the scenes stuff (sketches, thumbnails, tests) should be pretty good.

By the way, I'll just say its a pain trying to figure out a good name for a blog, hence the very clever name that you see above. Some of the names I had kicking around were "trying to control my A.D.D" "the thin line between clever and stupid" "kidnapped umbrella" and so on and so forth.

Anyways welcome to my blog, hope you enjoy the show
